"HO GANA POKUNA"

“Ho Gana Pokuna”, a direction of Mr.Indika Fernando. This is one of my favorites. The thing which I remember first from that image frames is the song which children sing when going to see the “Ho Gana Pokuna”. There are lot of things to take and learn from those characters even though they are so young.

The beginning and end at the story is marked from “Ho Gana Pokuna”. The effort which is taken by a blind girl to imagine the sea from her thoughts made my heart moved.

I asked my own self, aren’t we framed to one thing even after not being not deaf and blind. There is no need to see that after hearing about it, whole world can be imagined if needed.

From one side, a rural village which fights to live the life. In other hand a group who wishes to see the future world. Amidst all these things, a teacher with her first appointment to a rural area. She can dedicate even her life to children. The satisfaction which she gains is children, giving them to society education and releasing them to society us good human being. I ask you, do teachers have any other prioritized motivations?   It is not easy to deal with little ones. It is really difficult to be a teacher. Everyone can not teach how to go to dreams, to see those dreams in reality.  There are lot of places where I walk alone within the character of that teacher. I feel I that her character is so close to my life, where I mention a lot about her.

If I am to talk, there are lot of thing, there are lot of things. Finally something should be said about the villagers in the story. Obviously villagers are always a group who is willing to share. A group who dedicates to common purposes. The move “Ho Gana Pokuna” has been able to win everyone’s heart. This is a creation which is already added to the best collection.
