" UPASANAYA "

 

  UPASANAYA which can be seen only at Sripalee College, is a replica of Shanti Nikethan in India. Upanayanaya is the name given to the ‘morning assembly’ of the college. The name UPASANAYA is derived from the Bengali word ‘ Upasan ’. 

 Upasana the morning assembly of Sripalee College, is different from the morning assembly of other schools. The Upasanaya which is held twice a week in the ‘Upasana Maluw ‘of school premises bring out of a spectacular show. The Upasana Maluw is one of the highlights of Sripalee College. This cult is by no means of ethnic or sectarian. This culture can be seen only in Sripalee College.

This seen of boys dressed in national attire and girls in lamasariya is a spectacular sight for outsiders. There plants of ‘Tabebuia roses’ has made Upasana Maluwa attractive. This is an exotic plant and every Sripalian is accustomed to calling it ‘Kadambari’.

At the time of flowering of Kadambari, it make Upasana Maluwa fabulous. The Jacaranda flowers are enhance the beauty of Upasana Maluwa. The students of Sripalee College collect Kadambari flowers to make creations improve in the duty of their school in the morning. This specific culture of Upasanaya demonstrate the soul of Sripalee College.
